The Encalada Brothers: Christian, Richard & Frank

Christian, Richard, and Frank are Peruvian by birth and have had clear passions from an early age. Christian dreamed of a career in soccer, while Richard and Frank dreamed of owning their own business. Today, they have more than 10 restaurants in different areas of the United States and are a testament to perseverance and hard work. Although they had different visions, they shared the same goal: a desire to succeed. Christian discovered his passion for gastronomy.
"I remember living alone and cooking every day. I watched all the cooking shows; I really enjoyed watching the preparations, and that's how I learned until I decided to study gastronomy in Peru." The path led me to join several renowned restaurants in Peru, the United States, and Spain,” says Christian.
Frank, considered by Christian to be “the generator of new ideas and the most creative of all,” continued with his idea of starting his own company and prepared very well before taking on this challenge. Nothing stopped them, and on September 12, 2011, they opened Divino Ceviche in Doral. Richard adds, “When my brothers started Divino Ceviche, I was a strategic partner. At the time, I was involved in aviation and living in Japan.
I was close to Frank and Christian as they developed the entire creative phase, and I joined the dream with the development of our first franchisable concept: Ceviches by Divino.” The Encalada brothers agree that the key to starting and running a successful family business is trust and teamwork. Frank oversees innovation and creativity, Richard handles administration, and Christian oversees the kitchen.
“It's always said that the most important thing in a restaurant is the customers, but if your staff doesn't feel good, they won't work well, they won't cook well, they won't serve well, and your customers won't be satisfied. Our mission is for our employees to feel like an important part of our company,” says Frank.
Today, the Encalada brothers have achieved one of their most important dreams: providing support to single mothers and their families through various programs through their NGO: Ceviches with a Purpose.
